Homebuilder Taylor Morrison, with more than 280 communities in several states, is opening new communities in metro Phoenix’s northwest and southeast areas.

The company also is partnering with Disneyland, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard and Lifeware in an “Innoventions Dream Home,” a high-tech home opened to the public in June in Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif. The home’s design shows how technology can be customized to fit the owner’s lifestyle.

Taylor Morrison is offering the winner of a special contest this summer the chance to design his or her new high-tech home. Included are home furnishings and a vacation for four to the Disneyland Resort in California.

The winner can choose a Taylor Morrison home in one of the company’s 280 markets in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Nevada and Texas. Participants can visit the Web site once a day to register a chance to win. A coded needed to enter the contest is available at Taylor Morrison communities.

The online contest runs until Aug. 20. Entry can be made online at

Taylor Morrison’s newest homes in the Phoenix area include the Legacy series at Sarah Ann Ranch in Surprise. The development, with three models and six floor plans, is south of Waddell Road and west of Loop 303 on 175th Drive.

The homes range from 1,652 to 2,946 square feet. Designs include two- and three-car garages. Prices start in the low $180,000s.

The company’s new southeast Valley development is Laredo Ranch at 38467 N. Nuevo Laredo Lane in Queen Creek. The development features five single-story floor plans and three models on oversized home sites. Size ranges from 1,328 to 2,010 square feet. Prices start in the upper $130,000s.
